Module 1 (5 days) focuses on credit lending principles, credit risk identification, and financial statements analysis, encompassing assessing the different risk profiles of borrowers and thus helping the bank make prudent credit decisions

This course provides a detailed guide on conducting data analysis for PhD and MPhil research, specifically focusing on the "data analysis and findings" chapter.

The speaker, Dr. Ikram Hassan, a PhD Graduate, explains the necessary statistical analyses, starting with preliminary data examination and descriptive data analysis. He then explains how to check the accuracy and consistency of the data using exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and Cronbach's Alpha, and moves on to confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), which includes both basic and more complex measurement models.

The discussion culminates in structural equation modelling (SEM) and hypothesis testing, demonstrating how to interpret results and ensure the validity and reliability of findings for high-quality journal publications.

The guide also includes practical, step-by-step instructions for using SPSS and AMOS software, incorporating a real-world conceptual model and data for illustrative purposes.

Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) Series presents Assoc. Prof. Dr Mohammad Shahabuddin, Department of FInance and Banking, Faculty of Business, and Entrepreneurial Science (FBES), University of Science and Technology Chittagong (USTC).
